This canopy is nice. I really love the grommets this one has. The edges are finished in a wide reinforced edge all the way around. This canopy is also more of a mesh style so it is not going to be totally rain proof. I ordered the beige color and it is more yellow than beige is the only complaint on this canopy. Our previous canopy just had ties that were sewn on and of course they eventually broke from tugging on them. We live in a windy area so they are times that the previous canopy has to b…e taken down until the wind subsided. With the grommets this canopy is going to last a lot longer.
This was a perfect replacement for the ones that came originally with the pergolas. I choose not to use the zip ties that were included because I needed to adjust the cover based on the level of the sun. The sleeve for the poles were a little bit too slim to fit the poles that came with the pergola so I just used the poles that came with the sun screen and anchored them with small bungee cords. The color fits nicely with the color of the pergola. I wanted something that blended, not stand out…. The quality of the material is high, as well as the sewn seams. Happy that this is a breathable material and will allow water to flow freely, otherwise the weight could possibly damage the pergola. Thrilled with the sun shade. Highly recommend.
Material feels strong and good quality. For the price it's a good product to shield from the sun.
Pergola cover replacement/modification
Took a chance and decided to replace our old worn out top. So, glad that I did! This top fit beautifully, the material is thick, well made, water resistant ( not proof) and a wonderful value. It provides good shade but still let's in light. So far, it has survived several thunderstorms, high winds. Excessive temperatures, hot sun, and still looks new! It was very easy to assemble. Now the cons, it is not movable like my other. Once it's fixed in place that's it. It is held on with zip ties,… so in order to remove, I have to cut the zip ties off. But I can live with those few restrictions. Great quality, will purchase again. BTW, the gray is a light gray, with a darker gray thread, more medium gray.
Keeps out the sun, but lets the rain thru as to not bunch up between the cross pars on the pergola. Seems like it's made well, let's see how it holds up over the summer and hopefully the next few.
It would be nice if it protected a little more in the rain. Rain becomes more of a mist. Definitely keeps you cooler during hot sunny days. Very good product Definitely sturdy. I covered most of my deck with it. We enjoy it
Easy to install, but at the littlest breeze, it won't stay down cause there's no grommets on the sides. I ended up using bungee cords to hold the bar down on windy days. Otherwise the sides fold on itself. I haven't had it long enough to review on the sturdiness yet.

Just put this up. Was tired of all my umbrellas breaking from the Texas winds. Will see how it lasts through the summer here. The color is nice and bright and it should provide some good shade for my sitting area.
